GE IC609SJR100 I/O Link Master Module
The Series 90-30 I/O Link Master Module enables a Series 90-30 PLC to operate as a master on the proprietary Fanuc I/O Link. The Fanuc I/O Link is a high-speed serial interface that supports the exchange of discrete I/O data between one master and up to 16 slave devices.
The master can receive up to 1024 discrete inputs from slaves and transmit up to 1024 discrete outputs.
A typical I/O Link system consists of a Series 90-30 PLC configured as the master, a Series 90-30 Hand-held Programmer (HHP), the I/O Link network, and one or more slaves. In a common configuration, a PowerMate CNC is used as a slave. Other supported slave devices include the Series 90-70 PLC, Series 90-30 PLC, Fanuc Series 0 CNC, Fanuc Connection Units, and Fanuc Operator Panels.
The module can be configured using Logicmaster 90 (LM90) Configurator software, release 4.5, or a Series 90-30 Hand-held Programmer. The HHP allows monitoring of I/O states, and with the Model 331 Series 90-30 PLC, it also supports overriding and forcing the I/O data exchanged with slave devices.
